Planning where your guests sit is, admittedly, a difficult task. But helping guests easily find where he or she will be sitting doesn't have to be.
I designed our printble seating lists to be easy to use and easy to understand. All a guest really needs to know is which table he or she is assigned. Once at the table, place cards can indicate his or her seat.
The best way to do that is to list names alphabetically (creating a group for each letter of the alphabet), and next to each name list the table. That way, each guest can quickly find their name and then their table.
The diy seating charts are easy for you, because all you have to do (after deciding where everybody sits) is create the list (or lists) print them out and hang them up.
We put ours in pretty frames and hung them on trees (we had a backyard wedding). But you could lay them on tables or put them on clipboards, the possibilities are endless!
