I've come to love the Christmas season here in Munich. I love the Christmas markets, the snow, the Lebkuchen and the festive atmosphere all over the city. Every year I say I'm going to do all kinds of craft projects, but a lot of times I don't get around to it. I realized it's because crafting alone is not fun!
Sometime last spring or summer, I got the idea to host Christmas craft workshops (with an emphasis on paper, of course) The idea is pretty straightforward: Put together some good music, healthy (and not so healthy) treats as well as all the materials yto create everything from Advent calendars to handmade wrapping paper and Christmas cards.
I also started an Pinterest board to inspire some of the projects to create. I started early, bringing back some off-cuts from my Dad's print shop when we were in California this past September:
I've spent the last few weeks scouring the city for fun and interesting supplies like stenils, rubber stamps, glitter, paint, labels, tags and washi tape.
Garn & Mehr has also contributed a set of this beautiful baker's twine:
I'm also perfecting a playlist on Spotify for the sessions. Last night I did a kind of test run with some of the supplies and paper. I surprised myself by how much fun I had! There's something about doing something creative with your hands while listening to fun music that brings real satisfaction and delight.
So join me!
I'll be offering three Christmas paper workshops in Munich. Take time for yourself to craft all of your Christmas paper goods in a fun, relaxed atmosphere of like-minded women.
There will be Prosecco, goodie bags, good music and nice people. Do your shopping, drop the kids at home, and join us for some fun 'me' time to re-charge and nurture your creative spirit.
Glücksmaid is a warm, cozy, intimate space right in the heart of town, if you haven't been there yet, you'll love it. The workshops will last from 15:00 - 19:00.
Each event is limited to 12 participants.
You don't need to bring anything, just yourself and a festive attitude!
Hope to see you there!
